Kidney Foundation of Canada

My mom was is diagnosed with acute Kidney Failure in 1991, and placed on Hemo-Dialysis and the Kidney Donor List. On Mother's Day 1993 a compatible kidney was found and my mom received a kidney transplant. The Kidney Foundation and St. Paul's Hospital showed amazing support and care for my family in my mom's time of need. Fundraising through the annual Jail N Bail, and The Kars for Kidneys campaigns are my way of giving back to the Foundation, and saying Thank You for giving my mom a second chance .

BC Children's Hospital Foundation:

The kids...is there anything more heartbreaking than to see an innocent child fighting for their life? Consider the size difference between a newborn and a teenager - everything from breathing tubes to monitors to beds must be sized to meet the individual patient's needs. BC Children's Hospital is BC's only specialized child health facility and serves the urgent medical needs of all of BC's Children. A portion of each of my sale are donated to The Children's Miracle Network. When you buy or sell a home with me, you too will be helping the kids.

Realtors Care Blanket Drive:

2008 was my first year being involved with the Realtors Care Blanket Drive and what an experience it was. It's amazing to know that something as simple as giving a warm coat. blanket, and clothing to someone in need can make such a difference. The Blanket Drive was slated to run from November 24th lo December 1st, However, after just a few days. we noticed a significant downturn in donations - by as much as 40 per cent in some areas, Thanks to the 'final-hour' media support including community newspaper coverage and radio and television interviews, we decided to extend the collection as donations began to pile up. Over 30 charities received a little extra holiday warmth thanks to the generosity of fellow REALTORS®, volunteers, and residents. Fraser Valley Real Estate Board President Kelvin Neufeld said it best, "One thing you can always count on with REALTORS® when the going gets tough, we get going. We pushed hard to get the word out to the media, our offices, our clients and we're grateful it worked."
